Boats are slow. We left Morro Bay Saturday morning, headed for Santa Barbara, at a quarter till nine, and didn’t expect to get in until close to eleven o’clock at night. The distance is about 110 miles, making for an average speed just under eight knots, which is great in the world of small sailboats.
Beautiful! We are enjoying your journey
So nice to hear from you! Looking forward to seeing you again before too long!
Peter,
Really liked your description of the watch!
Thanks Marie! Can’t wait to see some more of your painting!
Beautiful photos! Looking forward to vicariously experiencing your travels!
Thanks Ryan! We’ll keep it coming!
Really enjoying your words. I can hear your voices and I actually start to feel, even if just a little, of what you are seeing and feeling. Thank you.
Thanks for the encouragement!
Santa Barbara is beautiful looking
Thanks Joe! I think you would have enjoyed it!
Really lovely writing, Peter. I guess you have to appreciate solitude for #boatlife. Can you read on watch, or is that not a good idea?
I am missing being offshore as I read this post! Living in Austin certainly exacerbates that feeling!
Come sailing sometime!
I see you got your copy of Bryce out, nice moonlight renders.
Yah, I spent hours getting the reflection mapping just right… ;)
